Ece Öz

Born in Istanbul in 1988, the artist graduated from the Painting Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Since 2011, she has been involved in interdisciplinary projects, and since 2016, she has been organizing art workshops for children. She continues her practice in her studio in Şişli.
Her work revolves around a search for simplicity and balance. In the RAW and HPT illustration series, she explores the relationship between emptiness and fullness through primitive stains and forms, referencing the calm and balanced spirit of nature.
The RAW series presents a quiet and minimal visual language, composed of primitive marks that evoke a sense of stillness and space.
The Happy Places/Things series, on the other hand, is shaped by softer tones and draws inspiration from imagined paths and landscapes. Through these abstracted natural impressions, the series offers a more introspective and tranquil experience.
